What to Expect? What to wear?
We are so glad that you are considering visiting Aurora Baptist Temple, and we want you to enjoy your time with us. We are a congregation of different backgrounds, personalities, and ethnicity. Our people dress from very casual to semi-formal. Whatever you choose to wear as you worship with us you will be welcomed, and will not feel out of place.
Service Times? How long does it last?
We have services for all ages. Sunday Small Groups @ 9:15/Worship Service @ 10:15. Wednesday Night Awana Kid’s Ministry 6:30/ABT Students 6:45/Adult Bible Study 7:00 PM. Our services last approximately an hour.
What goes on in the service?
Our church services feature lots of great music. From the great hymns of the faith to the best of today’s praise and worship music, you will love worshipping God through singing with other believers and our ABT musicians and singers. Scripture readings, dramatic presentations, and even humor round out the services. The focal point of the service comes when our pastor opens God’s Word and brings a message from the Bible that exercises both the mind and heart with practical teaching that addresses the issues that you face every day.
Is childcare provided?
Childcare and children’s church is provided in all of our services for infants, toddlers, and children up to 5th grade. Preschool aged children receive not only excellent supervision, but a lesson from the Bible, singing, and snacks.
OUR BELIEFS (More information is available at the Welcome Center)
- We believe the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired by God.
- We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God.
- We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature.
- We believe Satan was once holy, and enjoyed heavenly honors, but he fell and after him a host of angels.
- We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively.
- We believe man was created in innocence, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless and happy state.
- We believe Jesus Christ was born of the Holy Spirit, in a miraculous manner of Mary, a virgin.
- We believe that the salvation of sinners is by grace through Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
- We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus.
- We believe that Christ rose bodily the third day.
- The command to give the Gospel to the world is clear and unmistakable, and this Commission was given to the churches.
- Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith, and we believe tithing is for today.
